I have a special treat for you guys today! I've realized that while I am not a Pinterest Mom, some of my readers would really like some ideas for simple kids crafts. Now, that doesn't mean that I'm going to start getting crafty (trust me, it would help no one!) but I am going to try to feature some of my very crafty friends here on the blog now and again! They are one of those things that we can do as an entire family (without waking baby up) that require minimal effort. Minimal effort is key. These Valentines Day Doily Sun-catchers are not only a fun process for kids to explore, but also absolutely gorgeous to display. My kids (ages 3-8) had so much fun with this!

Set up for this craft is super easy! Literally just place the items on the table, step back and watch your kids create!I adore simple process art activities such as this (much more than say when my kids color on the wall). While it may not seem like much kids learn so much from open ended activities such as these. We explored print making, color mixing, social skills, and even discussed what it meant to be gentle.It took some serious concentration not to rip the doily!
